EGADE Business School MBA Programs: #1 in Latin America for Third Consecutive Year

    Wednesday, 18 May, 2016

    EGADE

For the third consecutive year, “the Tecnológico de Monterrey business school tops the MBA ranking,” as was published today by the Chilean magazine AméricaEconomía, one of the most prestigious measurements of the quality of business education in Latin America.

“For the third consecutive year, the EGADE Business School, Tecnológico de Monterrey MBA programs head the AméricaEconomía MBA Ranking, which classifies the masters in Business Administration and Management at 41 Latin American business schools.

EGADE Business School leads the 2016 version of this prestigious ranking, above other Latin American business schools such as the Adolfo Ibáñez University (Chile), the Fundaçao Getúlio Vargas (Brasil), the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (Chile), and INCAE (Costa Rica/Nicaragua).”

EGADE Business School heads the 2016 version of this prestigious ranking, beating out 40 Latin American business schools, including the Adolfo Ibáñez University (2nd), in Chile; Fundaçao Getúlio Vargas (3rd); in Brasil; the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (4th), in Chile; and INCAE (5th), en Costa Rica/Nicaragua.

The 2016 MBA Ranking by AméricaEconomía highlights EGADE Business School’s leadership role in Latin America, mainly due to is level of internationalization, a category in which it scores 100%, as it has the highest number of global accreditations (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS, and SACS) and thanks to the business careers of the graduates; it is also the school that has managed to solidify dual-degree agreements with top-level schools around the world, among other factors. The methodology of the ranking also measures the quality of the MBA offerings at the business schools on the following points: academic strength, network strength, and knowledge production.

Dr. María de Lourdes Dieck Assad , the dean of EGADE Business School, congratulated the entire community for “this new recognition that strengthens EGADE Business School’s leadership as the best business school in Mexico and Latin America, and revalidates our commitment to the development of transformative, responsible, innovative leaders with a global outlook who can create value in business and in society in general.”

“The launching of EGADE Business School’s cutting-edge MBA in 2015, besides being very well received on the market, is now recognized for its avant-garde educational model in the region,” said Dr. Laura Zapata , the director of the EGADE Business School, Monterrey Campus MBA. “The MBA study plan, focused on the business reality and the current economic environment, develops in students a strategic business outlook as well as innovative, entrepreneurial leadership that the organizations of today require,” she added.

“What we are after is the development of very specific competencies in different areas, so that our students can have an impact on business,” said Dr. Eric Porras Musalem , the director of the EGADE Business School, Santa Fe MBA. “The EGADE Business School MBA develops the students’ global outlook through a focused plan of study that favors international experiences through world-class professors and agreements with the most famous foreign business schools, where the students take classes such as marketing, finance, global operations, and development of international business, among others,” explained Dr. Porras.

AmericaEconomía MBA Ranking also recognizes the leadership of the other school MBA programs: Executive MBA , OneMBA and MBA in Global Business and Strategy . The School’s educational model is recognized by the most prestigious international accreditors—AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS—, as well as by SACS; it is one of a select group of multi-campus business schools with the prestigious “triple crown” of international accreditations unanimously recognized in the business education world.

With this new recognition, EGADE Business School solidifies itself as the number 1 business school in Mexico and Latin America, leading the most prestigious international rankings in the last decade: Financial Times, The EconomistAméricaEconomía, QS Global 200 Global Business Schools, and Eduniversal:

    • EGADE Business School strengthened its lead position in Latin America in the Executive MBA Ranking 2015 by The Economist, reaching the 56th spot in the world. EGADE Business School is the only Latin American school of its type in this ranking.
    • Financial Times placed the EGADE Business School OneMBA first in Mexico and Latin America for the ninth consecutive year in 2015. The program also placed 14th in the world due to the international profile of its class experience, and has moved up four spots in the global ranking from the last time.
    • The prestigious QS Global 200 Business Schools Report 2014/2015 placed EGADE Business School as the #1 business school in Mexico and Latin America for the third consecutive year. EGADE Business School receives the highest number of points in the two criteria measured by this ranking: employer recognition and academic prestige, which includes leadership in cutting-edge research, expert faculty, teaching quality, and avant-garde academic content, among other aspects of the business school programs.
    • EGADE Business School, Tecnológico de Monterrey led for the eighth consecutive year The Eduniversal Best Business Schools Ranking 2015 as the #1 business school in Mexico and #1 in Latin America and was placed in the top 55 business schools in the world, called “Universal Business Schools” by region and including 1,000 prestigious institutions from 154 countries around the world.
    • El Eduniversal 2015–2016 Best Masters ranked EGADE Business School as the one with the best business programs in Mexico and Latin America.
